Palm City
Imagine traveling from a grey city to a southern country with beaches stretching as far as the eye can see. It's the kind of contrast that could be used to describe Palm City artists' collective. Their unique sound is fresh and colorful, sometimes hiding a darker and intriguing side. Born in Montreal, this duo composed of SiM and FigZ is the mixture of two different artistic visions which was necessary to the creation of Palm City.
Blending Pop-Rock and Funk, Palm City’s original music is the combination of SiM’s captivating lyrics and singular voice and FigZ’s melodic guitar lines.
Aware of their national success after winning a pan Canadian contest in 2014, SiM and FigZ decided to enter the studio in the summer of 2014, spending more than three months on completing a new Palm City album. Accompanied by key players in the industry, such as Sennheiser Canada and Plurison, they have created this new album together with the talented producer from Montreal, Connor Seidel. During production, nothing was left to chance and the team delivers a high quality and electrifying first record.
